If you’ve ever felt like there’s so much advice, strategy and noise in the online space that you’re no longer sure what actually feels right for you in your business, you’re not alone.
In this post, I’m sharing a simple but powerful shift to help you step away from the noise and reconnect with your own intuition so that you can make clearer, more confident decisions again. Let’s dive in.
The danger of listening to all the noise
There’s a lot of noise in the online space telling you what you should be doing in your business… the latest strategies, the trending reels, the shiny new tactics. Not all of it is wrong – a lot of it is useful, a lot of it works, and a lot of it is shared with good intention.
The challenge isn’t the existence of these strategies, but the volume and pace at which they’re presented.
Because there’s a particular kind of overwhelm that doesn’t come from doing too little. It comes from being exposed to too much. Too many strategies to choose from. Too many “this is what’s working right now” conversations. Too many opinions about how you should be growing your business.
And the result isn’t just confusion, it’s disconnection.
Disconnection from your own thinking. Disconnection from your decision-making. And most importantly, disconnection from your intuition.
When you’re regularly consuming this level of input, it becomes increasingly difficult to stay connected to your own way of working. Instead of making decisions based on what feels right for you, your business and your current season, you find yourself following the path of what appears to be working for someone else.
And over time, you move from leading your business to unintentionally responding to everything around you.
Decisions start to feel heavier, your direction becomes less clear and you’re left questioning what your next step should be.
Intuition isn't fluffy or woo
Intuition isn’t about waiting for a sign or needing everything to feel perfectly aligned before you act. It’s much more practical than that.
It’s your lived experience. Your internal knowledge built from everything you’ve already done, learned and navigated. It’s the part of you that already knows what to prioritise but gets drowned out by all the external noise.
It allows you to recognise what feels aligned and what doesn’t, often before you can fully explain why.
The problem isn’t that your intuition disappears. It’s that it becomes harder to access when everything else gets louder. And in the online space, everything is loud.

More input doesn't equal more clarity
When you feel stuck, it’s easy to assume the issue is that you don’t know enough yet. So, you consume more. More podcasts, more Instagram advice, more free trainings, more new strategies to try.
At first, this feels productive. You’re learning, exploring new ideas and trying to find the missing piece. But there comes a point where more input stops creating clarity and starts creating confusion. Instead of having one clear direction, you’re left with multiple options and no clear way to choose between them.
And that’s where overthinking begins.
Not because you incapable of making decisions, but because you’re trying to reconcile too many perspectives at once.
Reconnecting with your intuition
Reconnecting with your intuition doesn’t require a big reset, or a complete overhaul of how you work. It starts with something much simpler; ten minutes of intentional stillness.
No scrolling. No reels. No podcasts. No YouTube videos. No input. Just you.
Sit quietly with a cup of coffee. Go for a walk without your phone. Journal without a goal or outcome in mind. At first, it might feel uncomfortable – especially if you’re used to constant input. That’s normal. But over time, you’ll find it easier to notice what comes up when your thoughts aren’t shaped by external voices.
You may find clarity on a decision you’ve been overthinking. You may realise something you’ve been pursuing no longer fits. Or you may simply recognise what actually matters this week.
Whatever comes up, the key isn’t to analyse it straight away. It’s to notice it and trust it enough to act on it.
Rebuilding trust in your decision-making
Set aside ten minutes of intentional stillness every day. Time to just sit and be with your thoughts, with your intuition. The more you practice tuning out the noise, the easier it becomes to hear yourself again.
And when you can hear yourself clearly, everything in your business starts to shift.
Strategy feels simpler. Decisions feel easier. Actions become more intentional. And your business starts to feel like something you’re leading, rather than something you’re trying to keep up with. All because you’re no longer looking outward for answers that already exist within you.
You already know more than you think. Your intuition is just waiting for the space to be heard.
